Oh what depth of sorrow
The loss of a child must bring
One so small and helpless
Ripped from Life's grasp by Death's painful sting
A mothers heart so torn apart
By the evil in this world
Her loving arms never more to hold
Her precious baby girl.
Fear often finds my heart week
When I think of my sweet girl
And all the evil that lies in wait to tempt her in this world
My only consolation-
God's loving had to grasp
Until this world is no more
And I am home at last.
The loss of a child must bring
One so small and helpless
Ripped from Life's grasp by Death's painful sting
A mothers heart so torn apart
By the evil in this world
Her loving arms never more to hold
Her precious baby girl.
Fear often finds my heart week
When I think of my sweet girl
And all the evil that lies in wait to tempt her in this world
My only consolation-
God's loving had to grasp
Until this world is no more
And I am home at last.
